The user account lifecycle describes the entire process of creating, managing, and deleting a user. A user account goes through several stages during this cycle: activated, deactivated, deleted.
Certain administrative actions in Folks automatically revoke the active sessions of the affected users. The user is then logged out upon their next action in the application.
If the user is inactive at the time of revocation, their effective logout will occur within a maximum delay of 15 minutes.

Modification of a user’s permissions
When an administrator modifies a user’s permissions, their active sessions are invalidated. The user is logged out as soon as they attempt a new action.
Modification of a group
Any modification made to a group results in the logout of all users who are members of that group.
Deletion of a group
Deleting a group automatically unassigns that group from all users who were associated with it. This unassignment in turn triggers the logout of all those users.
Deactivation of a user
A deactivated user is immediately logged out.
Deletion of a user
A deleted user is immediately logged out.
